About The Fitplan® Program

I am excited to introduce my new Built45 plan. This plan is named for its unique design, with each workout lasting 45 minutes and each exercise alternates 45 seconds of active work time with 45 seconds of rest. Over the course of three months, we will be working out five times a week, with different target muscles and dynamics to ensure we hit every muscle in your body from a wide variety of angles.

I've structured this plan to help ease you into a weight training regimen using dumbbells, bands, and a Swiss ball. That means this plan is a great choice for those of you who work out from home or who feel intimidated by all those shiny machines at the gym. This plan is also a great option if you're recovering from an injury and need something that won't overload your muscles and joints right from day one. Built45, in essence, is all about going back to the basics. We'll be working through varying combinations of time-tested moves to strengthen and tone your upper body, lower body, and core, while burning fat and significantly increasing your endurance.

In order to steadily increase the level of difficulty, the program's three months are organized so that we're cycling through three weekly workout formats, each of which we'll do four times. The goal is to keep track of your rep count the first time you do a workout and to then maintain the same reps each time we revisit the same workout, increasing the weight rather than the reps each successive time. For example, if you perform 10 reps with 20 pounds on dumbbell rows in Day 2 of Week 1, you should keep the same rep count for this exercise in Day 2 of Week 4 but try to boost the weight to 25 pounds. You'd then boost it again to 30 pounds in Week 7 and 35 pounds in Week 10 - all without changing your rep count from 10. We will also increase the challenge by progressing from two rounds of exercises in the first four weeks to three in the next four weeks, and finally to four in the last four weeks of the Fitplan.

I am confident that if you stick with me from start to finish and continually push yourself to the max in every workout, you'll be thrilled with the results you can obtain with this fun and challenging Fitplan! Now let's get to work!
